Dental Drill Left In Womans Head For Almost A Year
Here's another reason for people to hate going to the dentist. Donna Delgao of Tampa, Florida had gone to the dentist for some routine dental surgery. For almost a year after the surgery she experienced headaches, nosebleeds and sinus infections. She eventually ended up in the hospital where the medical staff found an inch long dentist drill bit lodged in her right maxillary sinus.
Donna has filed a lawsuit against the oral surgeon, Ralph Eichstaedt, seeking unspecified damages and a jury trial. The 35-year-old woman was miserable for nearly a year as she held down a job and cared for her children, her lawyer said. She could also suffer side effects such as nickel poisoning.
